Renault Scenic (99-03) rivals
Overview
Scenic arrived just as demand for medium-sized MPVs took off. Originally it was called Megane Scenic – a spin-off from the small family range – but got an identity of its own from 1999, when the second-generation car was simply re-badged as Scenic. This model is far superior to the 1997-99 car, with tauter handling, less bodyroll and livelier engines.
Appeal is heightened by keen pricing, good equipment and a roomy cabin.
