Summary
What does this car say about you?
Don't know - this wasn't why I bought it.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Agree that it's a suitable choice.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Not unless Renault do something about having ripped me off for a £1,000 Carminat satnav system that's no better than the cheapest one from Halfords (or anywhere else)
What are you likely to buy next?
Nissan, Honda, Peugeot.

Asked for discount and pressed for some small extras - floor mats/fire extinguisher
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Suited elderly couple & had nearly all facilities required.
What was the dealer like?
Friendly, good service, not too pushy.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Really comfortable and has excellent cornering. Quite good at night because driving position is higher than most cars thereby giving less dazzle and longer sightline.
What's it like to park?
Care needs to be taken when parking as the rear wheels are quite far back.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Some small niggles. Exhaust heatshield rattles as it gets bent every time I drive through a deepish puddle etc. Dash lights dimming switch broke. Centre console light is switched ON when the cover is closed instead of being switched OFF. The Carminat satnav system is inadequate and frustrating.
What's most practical about your car?
Starts and handles well. Easy to get into and out of. Plenty of easily accesible boot space. Seats 5 adults (or 3 plus 2 kids) in comfort. Good ride. Feels nice.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
It ought to be the satnav BUT IT AIN'T. The dealer tested it and states it is working (as well as Renault expect it to) but it got me lost in Manchester and, despite having the latest Navteq maps, still does not recognise at least 5 roads - including one junction of the A14.
