Renault Scenic (2003 - 2009) 1.6 VVT Dynamique 5d Owner Review

Awkward design of gears with 1st gear & reverse in the same position. The auto-handbreak takes getting used to & it is prone to developing a fault. The electric windows & auto-wipers / headlights are a reliable and useful feature. The combined card based entry & ignition system can be problematic as they damage easily and are difficult/expensive to remedy as replacement key cards need to be especially programmed. Boot space & fold-flat rear seats give a generous amount of storage/cargo space. Roof bars are easy to fit on the groove mounts. Tow bar fitting appears to be quite involved with most of the rear of the car needing removal prior to fitting. There are lots of interior storage compartments under the rear seats, under the footwells & in the doors. Fixings on rear parcel shelf are not very durable and prone to break under any significant weight. This car has good headroom both in front and back seats.
