Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says anyone from the public can speak to me about the car. If you don't want to be noticed then this is not the car for you. It stands out against all other cars. It would also show that I am sure what sort of car I like even though some people say it's ugly. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and is very true in this case.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
All that have seen or been in it think it's just tops. Though many question my reasons for buying it as I drive a Laguna lll 2008 which is again an automatic.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Proberbly not due to my age and this car will along with the Laguna see me through until I stop driving.
What are you likely to buy next?
Not likely to replace either car, as they are both in showroom condition.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£2,950
When did you buy the car?
November 2011
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes it was a very clean car with only 31000 miles on the clock. Which is a low mileage for the year. Full history of car supplied including the purchase order from new. Supplied by West's of Cambridge who I have known since the 60's.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Always wanted a Vel Satis, and now have the time and money.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer is a retired dealer that I had known many years. He is upfront with all the info on the car involved. No short cuts and a very nice man. No he didn't work for the AA.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It's like driving on a cloud. Most of the time you have no feel of undulating roads or surfaces. The gearbox takes care of it's self and adapts to your style of driving. Motorways are no problem except watching your speed as it's easy to go over the top. This is not a car for dashing around as if you are an Audi driver?
What's it like to park?
Although it's a big car, parking is no problem with the rear park sensors.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Had to replace one Lambda and offside headlamp due to damp. Otherwise no problems over the last 1000 miles.
What's most practical about your car?
Relax driving style for long journeys, with plenty of room. Like driving your arm chair.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Automatic wipers and headlights. Tyre pressure indication. Automatic gearbox as smooth as silk. Electric seats and windows.
