Rover 100 Cabriolet 1.4 2d (1997/P) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Bought used. Possibly could have done a better deal, but I was happy.
Costs
Low maintainance. Parts easily available and averagely priced.
-
On the road
Driving
Handles well, though steering not power assisted. Nippy around town.
Performance
Powerful enough to beat many other cars off at the traffic lights.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Rescue services have seen it about 3 times in 6 years.
Image
Maybe a bit dated to some, but people still look and wonder what sort of car it is. Not many around. Have only seen about 3 like it, though no other in red. Roof is electric.
Comfort
Big enough for a small - average sized person. A bit cramped for the larger frame.
-
Security and Service
Security
So far, so good.
Service
Always helpful, though when local dealer closed down was not informed about nearest dealer and unable to get same service these days.
-
Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Minor replacements through wear and tear at servicing.
Other
Roof leaks despite water tests and new seals continues to leak.
