Rover 100 Hatchback 1.1 GSi 5d (1996/N) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Bought for my children as low insurance and had FSH. Was cheap as bought through trade for £800 with only 26k miles on clock (06/2003).
Costs
Too early to comment, however should be cheaper than a Corsa/Clio, the other alternatives.

On the road
Driving
Steering wheel too low, but once you get used to splayed legs, the performance and the handling are excellent, especially at 45mpg!
Performance
Not fast, but very adequate for what it is.
-
Living with it
Reliability
No idea yet.
Image
Low image but in a way, I like it.
Comfort
Sore back after a 400 mile trip. Short runs great.
-
Security and Service
Security
Too good... keep setting off ineffectual alarm.
Service
A Honda/BMW-ised Rover, yes... an ex BL car emphatic, no.
