Rover 100 Hatchback 1.1 Si 5d (1996/N) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Good value - spare parts fairly cheap except from main dealer
Costs
Good MPG as long as don't go mad with pedal
-
On the road
Driving
Old design - but proven track record
Performance
0- 60 in 2 weeks. Seriously it is only 1.1. good around town, but have been on 200 mile trips the main problem is the seats.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Very good - not really let me down except for immobiliser thing.
Image
Sad old car image but keeps on going - but does not like MOTs last one cost £200.
Comfort
The seats are not very good if you intend driving for more than hour the seats get very uncomfortable and don't drive over speed bumps very fast.

Security and Service
Security
The immobiliser is great - it packed up and the AA charged me £80 to sort out new one, rover main dealer charge well over £110 for new one - the good thing is the Metro lacks street cred so should be safe from joyriders.
Service
Poor and expensive if go to main dealers.
