What does this car say about you?

hm. Basically this car has zero credibility. Road users (and friends) give you no respect. Be prepared to have the mick taken out of you regularly. My black GTI wheels and fat tyres along with a metro rear spoiler have helped the looks, i think it looks pretty good from the back and rear 3/4 angles.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

family consider it a 'runabout'. well, i hate it, my improvements have improved it but its still a sodding metro! neighbours...i couldnt care less what they thought to be honest.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I'd never buy a rover again, ever. Just rubbish, badly designed cars. They could of been so much better. I might consider a Metro GTI with a 1.6 or 1.8 vvc engine however.

What are you likely to buy next?

I'd love a 2006 Fiesta Zetec S TDCI at the moment. After a remap that thing would be quick and economical! But to be honest id take anything with a bit of power and good looks

What's it like to drive?

Pretty slow it has to be said. Feels very stressed trying to keep pace on the motorway. I fitted new Metro GTI wheels with 185/55 Toyo tyres. It now grips superbly especially in wet. Maximum speed it 110 on mine, but honestly it doesnt like crusing at 80 too much. Too noisy, too tiersome. New Metro GTI interior with front sports seats helped on longer journeys, and in the corners however. Fuel consumption is bad. Maximum mileage would be 240 to a tank, but i've had just 120 one time.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Plenty. More wear and tear though. Brake master cylinder, fuel pump, fuel tank corroded.

What's most practical about your car?

Small size, remote locking

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

remote central locking. Nothing else in the car!
