Rover 100 Hatchback 1.5 SD 3d (1996/P) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
It was expensive for what it was. (At 1200 quid I was probably ripped off). Excellent condition.
Costs
50 mpg easy. But repairs in servicing have stung me. The exhaust especially.

Driving
For an inexperienced driver with no expectations, it's rather fun, but handling is amazingly vague. The intermitent power steering doesn't help this.
Performance
She isn't quick, but sufficient around town and a capable motorway cruiser. Hates gradient though.

Living with it
Reliability
Exhaust has gone, suspension knackered, but passes MOT no sweat and runs really quite sweetly.
Image
I am white, middle class and just passed my driving test. It is the car people expect me to drive!
Comfort
Gas based suspension is worn our on the front wheels so it hates cornering, but otherwise, rather good.

Security and Service
Security
Standard imobiliser. People see its a Metro diesel and run anyway!
Service
No manufacturer servicing taken.
