Rover 200 Cabriolet 1992-
  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Very good value for a 4 seater soft top. Depreciation not so bad now, but would have hated to buy it new.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Reasonable servicing and parts. Fuel economy respectable for 1600.

Nice with hood down in summer, draughty and wet in winter!

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Very good for 1600. Good acceleration and comfortable cruiser with overtaking power when you need it.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    2 out of 5 2.0

Average is being polite. Loads of problems since purchase, mainly build quality issues.

Not too bad for a Rover. Not many of the pipe and slipper Rover brigade seem to have to cabrios. Looks good with hood up or down. Best colours I feel are Anthracite (mine) or Red (seems to suit the shape better than the more lairy colours!)

    Comfort

    5 out of 5 5.0

Best thing about it is the comfortable sporty seats that hold you in the right place! Rear seats cramped only suitable for youngish kids for any length of time.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    2 out of 5 2.0

It's a soft top, so if they want in they can do so quite easily. Saying that, standard fit immobiliser and alarm seem up to job, even if they do go off sometimes on their own.

    Service

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have friend who works for Rover so have to say this!!
