Rover 200 Cabriolet 216 2d (1993/L) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
I bought mine from Ebay for £350
Costs
Parts for the Cabriolet are a little difficult to find second hand and tend to be expensive new.
-
On the road
Driving
This car performs well in most conditions and although now somewhat dated the controls are well positioned
Performance
I would have to rate performance as very high, my wife turned ours over in a deep ditch and the roll cage did it's job well
-
Living with it
Reliability
Always started first time
Image
A flash looking fun car
Comfort
The bucket seats are a little uncofortable on a long journey
-
Security and Service
Security
I believe that the Cat 2 alarm was fitted as standard
Service
Parts are expensive and since Rover have now gone bust I imagine parts will become rare
-
Problems and Ownership
Problems

Engine managment system is run on very low voltage so a small amount of dirt or corrosion on connections will set your warning light off
Other
Rover seem hell bent on producing cars which have lazy or sticky window motors
