Rover 200 Coupe 1.6 2d (1998/R) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Very cheap second-hand for a sound car.
Costs
As above, plus running costs are fine also.
-
On the road
Driving
Very light front end in the wet. Comfy in the dry.
Performance
Typical 1.6 with revvy 16v engine.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Roof seals/exhaust/door switches/gearbox bearing thankfully done under warranty from protection plan I took out.
Image
Sits a bit high. Needs lowered with some nicer alloys which will sort the handling out at the same time.
Comfort
Very comfy standard, but clutch feels very light and sharp.

Security and Service
Security
Immobiliser temperamental.
Service
Had no dealings with manufacturer as yet.
