Economy
Value
Second hand lot's of good add-ons. Twin airbags, ABS and top notch sound system.
Costs
Do most of servicing myself, but if forced to use dealer have a fat wallet.

On the road
Driving
Suspension is firm, holds the road as well as a rear wheel drive car. Really good gearbox allows a smooth drive.
Performance
No slouch from a standing start, but mid-range performance for overtaking is superb, just keeps on accelerating. Just as importantly the brakes are superb.

Living with it
Reliability
Had no problems until the water pump to heater coollant pipe came off due to broken jubilee clip. Cylinder head gasket and cylinder head had to be replaced. Bill made the eyes water.
Image
Very often attracts positive comments (mine has pearlescent paint finish), and still not looking too dated. It is a used car perfromance bargain that few people seem to know about.
Comfort
Front seats very supportive, back seats a bit cramped for tall people. T-bar roof is superb feature for summer, far superior to a sunroof, and a lot more flexible.

Security and Service
Security
Factory fitted immobiliser and perimetric alarm. Never had any problems.
Service
Nothing was wrong with the vehicle until the dealer got a hold of it to change the cambelt, then engine problem noted above.
