Rover 200 Coupe 220 Turbo 2d (1996/N) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Lot of car for what you pay. How many Cossies and Imprezas can do 150mph standard!?
Costs
Buy shares in a tyre company or drive slower. Drinks petrol, but I didn't buy it for its economy. It's a sportscar - what do you expect?!

On the road
Driving
Should've had four wheel drive, but hasn't so... keep something in the boot.
Performance
Wow! Keeps up with 60 grand cars... and then waves goodbye!

Living with it
Reliability
Only had a problem with something overuling the standard immobiliser, but four digit door lock code gets round that.
Image
It's a coupe - the girlies like it, as does everyone else. Buy it in green, black or nightfire red though. Base colours look naff, as do light colours.
Comfort
It's a sportscar, but can be driven for miles on any road. Back a bit crampled, but, yes, you guessed it... It's a sportscar.

Security and Service
Security
Never had a problem, touch wood, but you will need a Cat 1 to insure it.
Service
Rover's best-kept secret. So secret that some employees don't know it exists. If you buy one, get used to saying "No, it's a petrol turbo".
