Rover 200 Coupe 220 Turbo 2d (1995/N) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Cheap bhp per pound.
Costs
As with many Rovers, can be expensive to fix at main dealers.
-
On the road
Driving
Needs money to upgrade suspension and certainly brakes, but otherwise good.
Performance
Nowt to touch it for the money. 4WDs will go round corners faster, but what's the point if you can't see what's round the other side.
-
Living with it
Reliability
2.0 T-series prone to numerous oil leaks. Buy a drip tray for the garage at the same time.
Image
Rover = staid, but I still think the Coupes look superb, especially from the rear with a smart tail pipe.
Comfort
Not much at the back (but passengers increase weight!) Ok at front and nice with leather and A/C.

Security and Service
Security
Don't leave in City Centre overnight and own a garage.
Service
Don't always seem to know what they're doing - I end up quoting the Workshop Manual to them (which are freely available for enthusiasts).
