Rover 200 Coupe 220 Turbo 2d (1993/L) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Performance bargin that most have forgot!
Costs
35mpg if you take it easy, 17mpg if you don't! Insurance group 16/17 a lot more reasonable than you think! Actually cheaper for me to insure than a Golf GTi 16v!

On the road
Driving
There's a lot of myths about the tomcats handling... and they are exactly that. Fit uprated springs and bushes.
Performance
Faster than an Escort Cosworth to 100mph! Not to mention a whole host of modern performance cars! I've not experienced any traction problems.

Living with it
Reliability
No major problems; a minor oil leak but at 93,000 miles, not a major problem (soon to be sorted).
Image
Coupe body still 'sexy' (confirmed by the ladies! lol) but not as overstated as a Calibra, though some people still have a problem with Rover??
Comfort
Seats are supportive and driving position good, though wind noise makes it less relaxing on the motorway!

Security and Service
Security
Standard alarm a bit pants really! Needs uprating immediately.
Service
Never used a Rover dealer.
