Rover 200 Coupe 220 Turbo 2d (1993/L) Owner Review

Economy
Value
If you want a very fast car but for reasonable money, this is the bargain of the century.
Costs
Apart from petrol and tyres, everything else lasts well. Tyres are £95 a corner, fuel takes £32 worth of unleaded for a full tank, returning around 220 miles.

On the road
Driving
Very low seating position, but a firm sporty ride. Steering is a touch unresponsive. Has a habit of running wide, then catching.
Performance
200 bhp (standard) gives 0-60 of 6.3 seconds and 150 mph top speed. What do you think!!!!

Living with it
Reliability
Strangely highly reliable. You go through lots of tyres, though. 200bhp running through the front 2 wheels. Lots of stress there I'm afraid.
Image
Its a coupe!! Cool as you like.
Comfort
Half leather in mine. Reasonably comfortable, but its a sportscar, so the ride is hard.

Security and Service
Security
Frameless doors round the windows, so I reckon any thief wouldn't have too much problem. I've got an imobiliser, Rover alarm (standard) and a Cobra alarm on mine.
Service
Never had to.
