Summary
What does this car say about you?
This car still turns heads since it's been so well looked after. It says to people that I'm not afraid to be different and buy something that isn't 'trendy'.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Mostly, others who are not familiar with the car wonder what all the hissing, whistling and whooshing noises are coming from under the bonnet. The turbo induction noise is something you cannot get bored of!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, because it surprises so many people and puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.
What are you likely to buy next?
Would have to be something comparable to the 220 Turbo power wise, something a bit different and not too common on the roads. Maybe an Alfa Romeo GTV V6.

Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£0
When did you buy the car?
January 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
Got a great deal as these cars are becoming hard to find unabused and with good mileage and history. Owned it 2 years now and in that time the value has increased and good examples fetch surprising money!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Can be driven calmly and easily through town, torquey low down the revs so not too much shifting required. Let it loose on the open road though and in a straight line it's as fast as anything costing 10 times as much. These cars were slated for poor handling but basic cheap suspension upgrades make all the difference.
What's it like to park?
Easy to park, light steering and decent turning circle.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing major, leaky hose is about as bad as it's been in 2 years.
What's most practical about your car?
Very reliable every-day car, decent economy for the power it puts out, and it even has a large boot!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The turbocharger!
