Good on petrol, though too early to tell.

Probably the fastest 1.4 in its size and year.

Living with it
Reliability
Cam belt just snapped. Only driven 200 miles since purchase. 6 weeks old and garage says it is not their problem. Private repair £4-500, Rover repair £1000+.
Image
A bit flat cap and pipe. Drove past a retirement village car park and there were three 214s there. Oh no.
Comfort
Very good. Half leather.

Security and Service
Security
Found out on the net how to disable the security system without setting off the alarm.
Service
Expensive, but honest. They told me to get it done privately, as it would be a lot cheaper.
