Rover 200 Hatchback 214 16V SEi 5d (1995/N) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Lovely car for the money paid - £1200 in 2002 for N reg.
Costs
Replaced loads; head gasket, valve stem oil seals, cam oil seals, gearbox, clutch, ECU, water temperature sender, had full diagnostics done by rover, new CAT and various other bits too!

On the road
Driving
Really comfy to drive, both around town and on motorway.
Performance
One of the fastest 1.4s you can get - surprises a few people!
-
Living with it
Reliability
Constant problems with breakdowns and not starting.
Image
Looks good. Nothing too fancy, but it is an old git's car after all!
Comfort
Front seats are excellent and half leather in a cheap family hatch is spot on!
-
Security and Service
Security
Standard alarm seems ok. Not had any problems.
Service
Paid £50 for a full diagnostic check to be told a sensor was broken. Shame I had just replaced that sensor which I bought from the same garage only three days before!
