Bought for £1250 in April 2002 in very good condition.

    Costs

I do my own servicing and parts are very cheap. Fuel economy is around 40mpg.

    Driving

Handling and grip are pretty good. A little too much bodyroll. Front suspension is a bit weak now. Comfort is ok.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Excellent for the engine size. Likes to rev hard. 95-100mph motorway cruising is effortless, if noisy.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    4 out of 5 4.0

Pretty good. These engines use a little water in normal use and if you let it get too low, the engine overheats and blows head gasket. Once blown, it will blow again.

A bit old man, but SEi looks better than most derivatives.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Good seats, but ride a bit bumpy - probably due to worn shocks.
