    Value

A lot of quality and equipment for a low price. Much better equipped than equivalent Escort. Insurance group a bit high.

    Costs

    3 out of 5 3.0

Some new parts are pricey such as tyres and dealer only parts. Good secondhand availibilty is a plus for budget motoring. Good economy and easy DIY servicing.

Good roadholding, but ride can be choppy over rough surfaces. Leaps speed bumps in a single bound due to good wheel articulation.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Good around town, excellent on fast roads and M-ways. Response to accelerator immediate. accelerates well if gears used properly.

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Has not broken down or needed any parts other than service items since August 2000. Easy to keep on song by DIY mechanics like myself. Will drive anywhere without doubt.

    Image

Unfair to call this car bland. It has a certain understated elegance if painted in a dark colour. Old man image perfect for those not wanting to make a scene. Doesn't attract thieves or vandals.

Good supportive seats, great soundproofing, good head and leg room, adjustable steering wheel, light controls, electric sunroof, and an efficient heater make this car a nice office to work from.
