Rover 200 Hatchback 216 GSi 5d (1990/H) Owner Review

Economy
Value
For a runabout, it's fantastic, and the amount of fun for these prices is top notch.
Costs
Cheap to buy and parts are not too expensive. MPG could be better.

On the road
Driving
Easy, fast and enjoyable. More fun than expected. Steering is precise, but parking is not easy when no PAS. Brakes may need upgrading for enthusiasts.
Performance
Excellent for its price. Will happily beat others at the lights without needing to be pushed to the limit and overtaking is easy. Cruises comfortably at high speed.

Living with it
Reliability
Few intermittent starting difficulties, but nothing else so far.
Image
Old man image is left behind at the lights (along with the other cars). Can get a rude boy image for younger drivers like me.
Comfort
Good driving position and everything is at easy reach. Rear space is good too. Bit of wind noise at over 80mph.
