Economy
Value
I bought mine for cheap wheels while my Micra was being worked on. Not bad equipment. Heater vents on the doors for the windows is sheer genius.
Costs
Insurance wasn't too bad but economy was poor. Maybe this could be attributed to 160k miles and an exhaust that was blowing slightly.

On the road
Driving
Surprisingly good handling. No PAS feels good when moving but can become heavy when parking.
Performance
Perky when revved but lack of low down torque on the Honda engine became irritating in town driving.

Living with it
Reliability
For a car that had definitely seen better days, it only let me down three times in seven times. Once the back section of the exhaust fell off, and twice it refused to start which seemed to be some sort of intermittent fuelling problem.
Image
Seen by most (probably including me, before I owned one) as transport for the elderly. Is actually, a comfortable, nippy car that can be thrown around as well as pootle along.
Comfort
Despite a sagging drivers seat (160k, remember) it was a very nice place to be. Hot heater and comfy ride.

Security and Service
Security
I don't think it would have been that good. I was relying on the fact that it was a filthy, 13 y/o Rover to put thieves off. Seemed to work.
Service
Are you kidding? I'm not taking a £300 run-around to a dealer!!

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Still going fairly strong at 160k, didn't have any problems.
Other
One e/w didn't work, this was easily rectified at home. All other gadgets worked fine which is a real compliment for a 13 y/o car that had seen over 160k.
