Rover 200 Hatchback 216 GSi Cat 5d (1993/K) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Cheap to buy. Good value.
Costs
Can be expensive fuel-wise, but well worth it!

On the road
Driving
Easy to drive. Very smooth. Steering a little heavy (no PAS). Could use more low-end torque.
Performance
Much faster than it looks; excellent acceleration when required for safe overtaking and roundabouts/sliproads etc.

Living with it
Reliability
Never broken down on the move. Can be depended on. (FSH).
Image
I like it. Others don't regard it as poor or stunning; it's average.
Comfort
Excellent on most surfaces. Very poor ride on rough surfaces (supermarket trolley style) and a little too much roll on fast corners.

Security and Service

Image rating means it's not going to get nicked or broken in to...
Service
The local Rover dealer know what they're doing, but cost a lot.
