Rover 200 Hatchback 216 SLi Cat 5d (1992/J) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Plenty of car with good spec for low prices. Should be able to pick up a good 'un for £750.
Costs
Drinks petrol around town. Honda engines expensive to service. Insurance steep for a car of this type (again, the Honda engine).

On the road
Driving
Enjoyable, but body rolls when cornering.
Performance
Lively and faster than you think. Honda 16v engine has plenty of power.

Living with it
Reliability
It may be expensive, but that 16v Honda engine is bulletproof - 177k miles and it still runs as sweet as a nut.
Image
It's an old Rover. You will never be able to live driving this down if you are under 50!
Comfort
Comfy and supportive seats, fine on long journeys.
