Rover 200 Hatchback 218 D 5d (1994/M) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Great value, cheap to run and insure.
Costs
45-50mpg, parts are cheap and car is relatively easy to service.
-
On the road
Driving
Diesel engine makes handling noise heavy when pushed normally very secure, lack of power steering a nuisance in town.
Performance
With a 1.9 natuarlly aspirated diesel it ain't going to break records, but it keeps up with all but that fastest motorway traffic.
-
Living with it
Reliability
It has never let me down and it has done well over 125,000 miles.
Image
Very pipe and slippers.
Comfort
Good interior space, seats are reasonable, engine is not the quiestest although not too intrusive.
-
Security and Service
Security
It has some kind of alarm, but it isn't really a tea-leaf target.
Service
I do most of the routine stuff myself.
