Economy
Value
Best value car I have ever bought. Highly recommended.
Costs
Here I am a bit unhappy, but then I only do franchised garages and OEM parts, interim services and NEVER allow it to go short of maintenance, which makes it a tad expensive. But the reliability it gives is worth it.

On the road
Driving
Wonderful car to drive, it can be a strong motorway cruiser with sustained high speed for hours continuously. Trunk roads it is extremely capable of keeping up and indeed passing most stuff about. B-roads it cannot be caught, this is a beast in sheepskin.
Performance
WOW! This is one pheonominal car, and you never hear of it or see it. 0-60 in just over 7 secs, 145hp. An MG with a shed on it to keep the rain out. This is a truly awesome car. Buy one, buy one NOW.

Living with it
Reliability
Never ever let me down. 125,000 miles, serviced on the dot at franchised dealer, with interim oil changes. New heavy duty battery, but put plugs in at half recommended life and it will never let you down.
Image
This car is unnoticed, till they get in and see what is inside and how it performs. At 57, though, I am not after image, just speed, reliability and a dammed fast but affordable car that I can walk away from and back to without worry. It is good for me.
Comfort
I drive long distances, only stopping to fill up - that's around 275 non-stop. Get straight back in and carry on. I like this car. I am 6ft 2 and 16 stone as well. Very happy with the comfort.

Security and Service
Security
How can you fault a dealer-installed alarm / immobiliser? I have never had an attempted break-in, but the immobiliser seems to be ok. This is a boy's toy in a granny car. Nobody looks twice at it, it's safe on a street.
Service
Same dealer for life of ownership. Very credible outfit. Rybrook in Warrington, now a Volvo / Jaguar dealer, but they still service it for me.

Built like a brick, solid, dependable, highly reliable.
Other
Why did they stop making it. Only ever seen about 6 others around the country, a rare care in more ways than one. Well done Rover.
