-
Economy
Value
My Si is good trim and spec for the money.
Costs
Fuel good, tax low, insurance good. Can be service cheaply by most garages.
-
On the road
Driving
Drives reasonably well, smooth clutch and gearbox. Although box is by Peugeot.
Performance
Twin cam 16 valve accelerates better than some 1600s. Good on motorway BUT noisy and high revving, 80mph is 4000 revs worth.

Living with it
Reliability
Failed to start twice in six months.
Image
It doesn't bother me.
Comfort
Seats good, no back problems on long journey. Ride quality suffers on less than good surfaces (that's most roads then).

Security and Service
Security
Crap alarm/immobiliser can be overcome in 5 seconds. I had secondary Meta immob fitted and use a disclok to protect it.
Service
Not visited.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Head gasket and inlet manifold both gone (expensive). Recurrent misfire, coolant leaks all over the place, rattles and noise all the time.
Other
The worst car I've owned. Probs include gaskets, brakes, power steering, heater problems, alternater, battery, thermostat, gearbox seepage, leakage into boot, misting windows, e/w problems, clutch judder, weak jacking points, rear suspension bushes...
