Economy
Value
Costs almost as much as the superior SDi. Not good value for money.
Costs
Does 40+ mpg even when pushed. Low insurance.

On the road
Driving
Handling is reasonable - if you fit good tyres.
Performance
Terrible, terrible engine! Gutless and slow, even with turbo on full boost. The 'power' band is only 1,000 rpm wide, making overtaking frustratingly difficult, as you always have to cram it up a gear. Fuel economy is it's only saving grace. Get the SDi.

Living with it
Reliability
Hasn't let me down - yet!
Image
Pipe, slippers and tartan rug.
Comfort
Average comfort. Seats need more side support. Engine is damn noisy!
-
Security and Service
Security
Poor standard security but it doesn't matter, because no-one will want to nick it!
