Value
Not expensive for what you get, and looks more expensive than it was.
Costs
Never less than 52mpg, with a best of 60. Reasonable parts prices.

Driving
Great. Pulls well in all gears, even in fifth when fully laden. Fun to drive.
Performance
Strong engine in relatively small body. Plenty of torque for safe overtaking.

No problems not even one in 110,000 miles.

Rovers all have an 'old man' image, I guess.
Comfort
Comfortable front seats, even for 4 hours or more. Not much room in the back for adults, but no worse than a Golf, though.
