Rover 25 1.4 iL (103ps) 5d (2002/02) Owner Review

-
Economy
Value
You can get a nearly new car with the balance of the manufacturer's warranty remaining for not a lot of cash.
Costs
Cheap to insure and reasonably frugal on fuel.
-
On the road
Driving
Better than the old 200 series, but still not on a par with some of its rivals.
Performance
Needs revving to get it moving. Get used to changing up and down the box to get the most from that 1.4 K series.
-
Living with it
Reliability
No problems so far.
Image
A bit dated now, usually driven by OAPs!
Comfort
Interior trim can be a bit shoddy, but generally quite good.
-
Security and Service
Security
Standard alarm/immobiliser is probably not beyond the well equipped tea-leaf's reach!
