Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, I only paid £300 for it and it was in good condition. Recently had the cam belt changed.

It was cheap.

What's it like to drive?

The gearbox is somtimes difficult to select first and reverse gears. Especially when the engine is cold. The clutch is quite strange as you have to rev the car to 2000+ rpm before moving off else it will stall or nearly stall.The driving position is rather poorly laid out with a low down steering wheel which sits between your knees and the seat isn't adjustable for height. On the positive side, the car is quite a relaxing cruiser at 50mph or so, and it handles okay. It would be nice to have a bit more torque because you find yourself having to shift down to drive up slight inclines. When pushed, the engine sounds very stressed at anything above 3000rpm and this becomes rather tiresome at motorway speeds. The car is good on fuel however.

Big windows make it easy.

Have you had any problems with the car?

The rear wiper doesn't work. The alternator has failed and been replaced. An engine warning light is on because of an incorrect fuel trim. Not too bothered as it passed its mot.

What's most practical about your car?

Large boot.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Aftermarket cd player. The car is very basic in standard form, no AC for example.
