Economy
Value
Average value. Suffers rather steep depreciation when compared to others.
Costs
Reasonable to run and to insure. But manufacturer fuel consumption is a bit optimistic.

On the road
Driving
The 25 benefits from a stiffer suspension, a firmer ride and has more 'sporty' feel than the old 200 series.
Performance
Excellent performance for minimal money. Quite nippy and pulls away quicky at lights.

Living with it
Reliability
Reliability leaves a lot to be desired. Car been back to dealer a couple of times for minor problems.
Image
Not much of an image for the young. Rover marque still considers to be a bit of an old man's express.
Comfort
Ride is quite good and a bit firm but not bumpy. Basic sports seats could be more supportive and offer more lateral/lower back supports.

Security and Service
Security
Not had it stolen for a few months of ownership. But people complaints about poor factory-fitted alarm/immobiliser.
Service
My local Rover dealer (Quicks) has been supportive and corrected problems promptly. No problems at all.
