Economy
Value
Find that regular servicing every 12000miles by a reliable garage is the only expense to date - apart from normal wear and tear items such as windscreen wipers and tyres.
Costs
To quote a phrase "Cheap as Chips!".
-
On the road
Driving
Meets need for long-distance driving as I do 25,000 miles per year.
Performance
Leaves the Clios VA - VA - VOOM well behind. A real sheep in wolf's clothing.

Living with it
Reliability
Have used Rover cars since 1984 [ from Metros through Maestros through Rover 25 TDs ] and have only lost 5 DAYS in that period due to car problems. Now accidents - that's a different matter!
Image
Couldn't care less ! I need cheap reliable motoring and the Rover 25 delivers - so much so that my wife and I run one each.
Comfort
Ok once you get the lumber and seat positions right.

Security and Service
Security
No-one's tried to pinch it yet!
Service
Have never used agency garages. I have a garage that has serviced my cars since 1984 and it is both dependable and reliable.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
None with the basic engine unit. Current problem [ April 2005 ] may be MAF Sensor but after 75000miles I expect summat to need attention.
Other
The main problem is marketing. Tell a car salesman you're looking for a Rover and they treat you like a lunatic. Why? If only the marketing team was as good as the production line then Rover wouldn't be in its current mess.
Ownership
Did you buy the car new?
Used
Would you buy the same model again?
Yes
Did you buy from the same manufacturer again?
Yes
