Economy
Value
An excellent buy, some dealers are asking too much though.
Costs
Could be even more miserly on the gravy if Rover had fitted a taller 5th gear (its got the torque to take it).
-
On the road
Driving
Suprisingly good given the model's venerability.
Performance
Small car, 100 BHP, good off the line and great mid-range overtaking ability.
-
Living with it
Reliability
No problems so far - the commentators curse or what.
Image
Rover are in the doldrums, but the 25 is still sharp. Some love, some loath - you pay your money and makes yer choice.
Comfort
Seats are fine, driving possition a little high and wind noise a drag on long runs.

Security and Service
Security
So far so good.
Service
Our 4th MG Rover, dealer fine and as they're not in the fleet battlefield the service is geared towards the private buyer - a welcome change.
