Value
Plenty of kit with this special edition, air-con, cd, full electrics. Exterior includes foglamps, alloys and metallic paint. Not impressed with the standard audio system though, only two speakers and a cheap head-unit.
Costs
Great economy, I do a lot of motorway miles and have noticed a big improvement in fuel costs compared to my old 1.6 Escort. Servicing seems reasonable, with good 3-year warranty meaning no parts costs for some time yet. Road tax is cheap too.

Driving
Handling does suffer with the weight of the diesel lump, but still enjoyable. Generally a composed and solid drive.
Performance
Don't expect a traffic light sprinter, this car is heavy to get moving, once moving though the performance is excellent! The mid-range acceleration puts a smile on my face, motorway cruising is a breeze for this motor, with bags to spare.

Living with it
Reliability
Only had the car 6 months, but so far the electrics and mechanical seem fine.
Image
I think this car has a classy look, the 25's lines still look attractive, but certainly not as fresh as some manufacturer's new-edge styling.
Comfort
Front seats very comfy with a pleasant, if now dated, cabin. Nice touches include leather gearknob and steering wheel with wood inserts on the dash. Does seem to have a bigger car feel, more so than a Corsa or Fiesta.

Security and Service
Security
Alarm and immobiliser, with remote central locking for convenience.
