Summary
What does this car say about you?
Rover 25 is probably a bit of a joke as regards image but I don't care and enjoy driving it. Not looking to change it any time soon!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Dad has a 2005 Rover 75 TD and thinks my 2003 Rover 25 TD is great and more practical.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would if they still made them. I may be tempted with a 2005 Rover 45 TD (113) for towing our caravan but with softer suspension, it wouldn't feel as tight and sporty as my 25 does.
What are you likely to buy next?
As above, maybe a 2005 Rover 45 TD (113) but as they don't make them any more, I'm happy to stick with my 25. It's been fab for the last 18 months or so. Long may it continue!

'Upgrade' from 2001 Rover 45 saloon.
What was the dealer like?
Private seller - honest and easy to deal with.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Surprisingly sharp. Suspension was taken from the Rover 200 VVi so is firm but not uncomfortable. Old fashioned hydraulic steering gives great feedback if slightly heavy. Drives and handles much better than its image suggests and I enjoy driving it on twisty a roads. Reasonably refined on motorways too though.
What's it like to park?
Easy. The back ends where the rear window stops. As previously stated, slightly heavy steering at low speed. Good visibility.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Replaced driver's side window mechanism and the Traffic Master clock.
What's most practical about your car?
Compact size but can transport 4 adults in comfort. Good size boot despite it being less than 4 metres long. The unrefined but strong turbodiesel engine even pulls our small caravan with ease.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
It's a 2003 Rover. It doesn't have any gadgets but as such. The medieval Traffic Master is a useful feature for non-sat nav driving.
