    I'm a 20 year old driving an O.A.P hatchback....need I say more?

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

    Have never said.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes....if it had lower mileage and no rust.

    Audi A3 1.9 TDI

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £450

When did you buy the car?

    June 2006

Did you get a good deal and why?

Private seller. Tried to pawn it off for £850 brought him down to £450, due to 3 deep scratches on front bumper, 1 bar from grill missing, some minor rust spots, worn driver seat and 4 new tyres needed.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Drove a diesel that took 18 seconds to reach 60 and topped at 85/90 mph. Fancied a bigger car with a bigger engine.

    What was the dealer like?

    Old and stubborn!.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

For a relatively old car, still manages to pack a punch. Have had it past the specified top speed, Handles well with 1 or 2 in the car, anymore weight and it slides....dont even bother with 4 adults and wet roads. Very comfortable, braking is slightly eery with more than 2 adults.

    What's it like to park?

Depending on your level of skill, generally it is very good. I myself never have to re attempt to get within lines...blessed i guess......never attempt to park forwards toward a curb of more than 3 inches as front tow rings coming into contact with kurb, feel like your tyres have all come off together.

  • Living with it

    3 out of 5 3.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Wouldn't blow hot air despite having element replaced. Re-occuring rust appearing over doors and boot lock, brakes calipers changed 1 week after purchase despite passing MOT 2 days before, leaky coolent system leak, handbrake not functioning, power steering fluid leak, head gasket going, oil leaks... both rear door handles shattered (cold weather methinks). rubber seals around windows going......all just after I purchased and looked over it. Almost perfect at sale....then it all went wrong.

What's most practical about your car?

Power and torque. Pretty good considering the car. Space.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Due to never having them before, I would say the power windows and sunroof.
