Rover 400 Saloon 420 SLi Cat 4d (1994/L) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Staid image belies performance.
Costs
Parts have been pricey, but shop for pattern bits.
-
On the road
Driving
Generally very reliable, aside from a few idiosynchrasies that have made themselves aparent.
Performance
Once the RPM rises, this car flies and it will sit for hour upon hour well above the national speed limit - apparently!

Living with it
Reliability
I have had a couple of odd problems, but nothing exceptional.
Image
Definitely has the 'old boy' image but, at the right price, the joke is on someone else; it flies.
Comfort
Reasonably well appointed, but feels a little insubstantial. I moved from a Carlton, so it's an unfair comparison.

Security and Service
Security
I can't imagine that anyone under 30 would want to steal it and, as someone else said, I've still got mine.
