Rover 400 Saloon 420 SLi Cat 4d (1995/M) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Less than a grand for a one owner FSH car - can't complain about that.
Costs
You do get to make friends at the petrol station, though; quite a thirsty car.
-
On the road
Driving
Impressive road holding for a saloon with such a staid image. Can be taken quite far before it bites back.
Performance
0-60 in less than eight seconds. Annoy boy racers all day.
-
Living with it
Reliability
No real traumas. Sunroof sticks a bit and the paintwork seems to scratch easily.
Image
Seen as an old man's car. Getting fed up of free trilby hat jokes.
Comfort
Nice. Rides well and is quite well appointed inside.
-
Security and Service
Security
Alarmed and immobilised, but not really a magnet for thieves anyway.
Service
Prefer to rely on cheaper specialists.
