Rover 400 Saloon 416 LS Special Edition 4d (1998/S) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Good value used, lots of goodies.
Costs
MPG really suffers if you push the engine. Insurance suprisingly high.
-
On the road
Driving
Soft, comfy suspension means it handles like a soggy pudding. Otherwise a pleasant drive.
Performance
No sports car, but suprisingly sprightly. Keep the engine above 4,000 rpm to get the best out of it. Very good on the motorway.

Living with it
Reliability
Not a blip!
Image
Pipe, slippers and tartan rug. And it really doesn't deserve it.
Comfort
Due to soft suspension, and nice leather seats, steering wheel and gearknob, it is a very comfy car.

Security and Service
Security
Average. But no-one will want to nick it anyway.
