Rover 400 Saloon 420 SLi 4d (1996/P) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Used are always good value once depreciation has levelled out.
Costs
Dealer servicing very high. MPG not good either on 2.0 models
-
On the road
Driving
Happy on motorways, steering / clutch not the lightest for town driving.
Performance
Keeps up with the best of them. 420 quick of the mark and good for 115mph (so i heard !)
-
Living with it
Reliability
40k per year and never faulted.....yet
Image
Excellent....if you wear flat cap and have a Jack Russell !!
Comfort
Seats good, rear space okay, ventilation poor
-
Security and Service
Security
Locked myself out when the batteries failed in the 'doofer' otherwise whos gonna nick a '96 Rover
Service
Dealer too expensive. Find smaller private garage...less than half the price.
