Rover 400 Saloon 420 SLi 4d (1996/N) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Cheap to buy, so you will see price drop quite rapidly.
Costs
Ridiculously expensive. Often you will have to buy an entire unit, just for one part you really need.

On the road
Driving
Nice drive. Good PAS. Rear screen on 4dr has no wiper, making reversing in rain not much fun!
Performance
The old 216GSi Honda engine performs a lots better... probably last longer too!

Living with it
Reliability
Electric window regulators are notorious 'weak spot'. Cost £130 each to replace.
Image
Never considered it to have an 'image'!
Comfort
Good. At least from the driving seat. Not sure about rear seat passengers.

Security and Service
Security
Daft! Immobiliser has to be used each time before car will start. Key fob unit very poorly made and no doubt expensive to replace.
Service
Not the best.
