Summary
What does this car say about you?
Nothing at all. It's not that type of car. It's nice.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it well enough. It's supremely comfy, in the front, and the chrome shines nicely when it's newly washed.
Would you buy this car again and why?
If I did, I'd want a bigger engine. But, I want something with a more prestige badge next, really.
What are you likely to buy next?
As I'm keeping this for a while, a step up. So a (used) Audi or BMW.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£0
When did you buy the car?
October 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got a good deal considering the car does have a decent level of equipment, the mileage is decent and it was very well looked after.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wrote off my first car at eight am on the motorway, and a new car was necessary immediately, so my parents got me this one.
What was the dealer like?
Very friendly and helpful, but then I've yet to meet a car dealer that won't go our of his way to help you. Thankfully there was no fake tan involved.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It needs to be revved reasonably hard to get up to a nice speed, but I like it. Ok, it's not uber sporty, but you can't have everything. There is one thing though - for a 1.6 I would expect it to be reasonable on fuel, and I realise fuel prices are now well beyond ridicuolus, but I also think around £10 a day, no matter how long I spend on the motorway, is a bit much.
What's it like to park?
I'm a relatively new driver. I'd have difficulty parking a bike.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
An airbag light flashed, fixed under warranty.
What's most practical about your car?
Probably the big boot. Enough room for all my junk. And I quite like the practicality of having 5 doors.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
It has air con, and I remember my last car being a sun trap (also a Rover) so I'm hoping that come summer it'll be a big help.
