Rover 45 Hatchback (2000-2004) interior, tech and comfort

Tries to be posh with wood trim and comfy, plush seats, but fails to create the right impression. Mid-Nineties dash layout and switchgear lets it down. Equipment levels are better than they used to be, which for bargain prices at Rover dealers make it worth a look.
Adequate legroom for a medium-sized car, not so good if you judge it against a Mondeo. Which is the Rover’s problem – it falls between the two classes. High quality interior and comfortable seats, though.
