Summary
What does this car say about you?
Rover has an image problem and is associated with old and boring Tories. I think its dull image rubs on its owners.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Those who ride it love it, those who just see it tend to reserve their comments.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Not really, I bought it because it was convenient
What are you likely to buy next?
Jaguar S Type diesel or BMW 5 Series diesel. These are as comfy or comfy than the Rover without the image problem.

Driving it

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The head gasket failed after 7 months at 58,000miles on the clock. After some research, i found it was 'normal' for the Rover K series engine. At 50,000 odd miles, it is inexcusable that an engine fails. However, was fixed for a total of about £400. I previously had a Peugeot 406 which only got scrapped after being written off, otherwise, the engine was still mint at 200,000miles. The backlight for the clock has also gone and fan speeds 1 and 2 stopped working.
What's most practical about your car?
The car is very comfortable. Can be driven for long journeys without any discomfort.Good visibility all round and the auto box is amazingly comfy, confident when pushed and easy to use.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
My favourite gadget has got to be the auto box, otherwise there is not much else.
