Summary
What does this car say about you?
The car certainly makes an impression. Partly because of its condition and striking gold paintwork but also because it's not the sort of car you would expect someone in their 20s to drive.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
It's considered a "posh" car by people of all ages. The interior ambiance goes down very well indeed.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. It's a unique, comfortable, well equipped and reliable car.
What are you likely to buy next?
Alfa 156, Rover 75, Rover 25 or maybe another 45.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The 1.8 engine provides plenty of power across the rev range and makes a lovely sound. The ride quality is generally good but can get a little crashy on poor roads. Plenty of feel through the steering and lots of grip.
What's it like to park?
Difficult - you can't see the rear end through the window so it it's very difficult to judge where the back of the car is.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Rear trailing arm bushes replaced at 80,000 miles - total cost £100. Alternator replaced at a cost of £120 with a Bosch OEM part.
What's most practical about your car?
The 45 has a large boot but the cabin is rather 'cosy' .
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Heated leather seats are excellent. The quality of the leather is exceptional - and it's genuine leather!
