Economy
Value
Bought second hand. This is a quality car at a low price.
Costs
Economical on fuel/insurance, but Rover parts are expensive.

Driving
Very comfortable and safe. Rear supension unsettled on rough roads.
Performance
Exceptional performance from a moderately powered diesel.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Engine oil pipes constantly fail (yearly!) They cost £140+ to replace and Rover don't want to know!
Image
A good looking car, which recovers the Rover image up to the mid 70s.
Comfort
Rear seat leg room is very poor. Otherwise an excellent long distance cruiser.

Security and Service
Security
Seems very good.
Service
The problems with the oil pipes and minor rust were basically ignored by Rover.
