Summary
What does this car say about you?
A lot of people sneer at it because it is a Rover but I like it's style & comfort. It is now an old car & it looks very different from modern euro boxes ( which again I like! )
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My wife is embarrassed because it is old, & my son ( who has a BMW ) is quite contemptuous of it ( but it does not stop him borrowing it )
Would you buy this car again and why?
If it was still being made - yes. It is large , economical & very comfortable , & I like the styling.
What are you likely to buy next?
Probably a diesel Ford Mondeo

Did you get a good deal and why?
£800 Less than from franchised BMW dealer who originally had it for sale( but then sold on to trade ), but still a highish price at independent dealer( but very low miles 19000)
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Had one as company car & liked it a lot!
What was the dealer like?
Excellent. Still go back to look at his stock but not seen anything I like in my price range ( has gone up market )

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Nice to drive. Fast when using intermediate gears, but not for boy racers at traffic lights. Ride a bit jittery at times, especially on bad roads. Brilliant at motorway cruising.
What's it like to park?
Generally very easy with light steering but supermarket car parks a pain ( spaces too narrow & not enough space between rows for length of car when reversing out) but muliple point turning a doddle

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Did not use it for 12 months & ABS pump & one wheel sensor seized up - had to be replaced. OSR door central locking stopped working. Remote locking system no longer works.Problems with sunroof. Last three not repaired as too expensive for an old car. Rust hole behind OSR wheel arch.
What's most practical about your car?
Comfort, drivability, looks, large boot with folding rear seats. Good economy for such a large car
